She left me a ton of pictures on my Macbook and the first one is something i snapped this evening.
Anyways, pretty good weekend. Celebrated one year, four months. Everything is pretty dull around here otherwise. I'm very close to finishing training at work, which means I'll be getting that money soon.
I also bought some new books to read in my spare time:
The Road by Cormac McCarthy (Post-apocalyptic father/son tale)
Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay (Book that created the showtime series Dexter)
I'm looking forward to them both
I should probably go to bed. Though. Class in the morning and it's already 1:15.
cormac mccarthy...is he the one that wrote "no country for old men"? and tell me how "the road" is, i want to consider reading it before seeing the movie.
ReplyDeleteand who cares about going to bed with an 8am class, haha, certainly not the insomniacs
He is one in the same.
ReplyDeleteSo far, I'm almost 100 pages in and it's terrific. It's very sad, but very good. There isn't any dialogue; however when someone speaks, it's just part of the text.
Like at the beginning. He rolled over and opened his eyes. I'm awake. I know. It's raining. I know that too.
sounds like he writes a lot of his books the same then, the dialogue bit at least
ReplyDeleteyeah, he's notorious for that. it's not my favorite writing style; i'm willing to put up with it because this book is so damn good.
ReplyDeleteit's so bleak. hence so good.
i quite agree, such a great writer but i don't especially love the writing style.
ReplyDelete2nd photo of Yan matched my face when I saw the first photo.
ReplyDeleteAlso >Celebrated one year, four months.
This irks me dude. You say that you two have been together for 16 months with this statement. She was putting your nuts through the ringer for 8 of those months, and she was 70 miles away. I know you're happy with her now, but did you really forget all the shit she put you through?
RE:RE:RE:RE some post months ago about that.
ReplyDeleteGeeze joe, read my blog more.
